Our counselors

The person who will know your child by name

Not a call center. Not a rotating queue. One counselor who stays with your child from the first conversation to the last application – and a team behind them when the work needs a specialist.

Free 30-minute call. You’ll meet the person, not a salesperson.

What every counselor brings

How we choose them

Most applicants don’t make it through

You’re trusting someone with the years that decide where your child goes next. Here’s what they clear before they’re put in front of a family.

Step 01
Experience screen

Real admissions or school counseling history – not a weekend certification.

Step 02
Background check

Completed and verified before any contact with a student.

Step 03
Live case interview

We watch how they handle a real student scenario, including the hard conversations.

Step 04
Ongoing review

Family feedback and file reviews continue for as long as they work with us.

The team behind them

One counselor, with specialists on call

Your counselor stays constant. When a piece of work needs a specialist, they bring one in – already briefed, so your child never re-explains themselves.

Essay mentors

Work line by line on the personal statement and supplements – helping your child sound like themselves, not like a template.

Project mentors

Turn a genuine interest into something real – research, a build, a business, a body of work worth writing about.

Test prep coaches

Set target scores, pick test dates that fit the rest of the plan, and keep the study schedule realistic.

Getting matched

How your child gets the right person

On your free call we ask about your child’s grade, interests, target direction and how they like to work. Then we match – usually within three days – and you meet the counselor before anything is committed.

What your counselor commits to

“Dream College Path made the college application process feel clear and manageable. Our counselor understood our child, kept us on track, and gave us confidence at every step.”

Emily Carter
Parent of a Class of 2026 student

Common questions

What parents ask about the process

Anything else, we’ll answer on your free call.

Will my child have the same counselor the whole time?

Yes. The same person stays with your child from the first plan through to the final submit. Specialists join for specific work, but they’re briefed by your counselor – your child never starts over with someone new.

Tell us and we’ll reassign. There’s no charge and no awkward conversation to have – getting the fit right matters more to us than getting it right first time.

Experience screen, verified background check before any student contact, a live case interview, then ongoing file reviews and family feedback for as long as they work with us.

Caseloads are capped so your child gets real attention. Your counselor will tell you their current load on the first call – ask them directly.

No. School counselors handle transcripts, school forms and letters. Ours work alongside them on strategy, essays and the application itself.

Yes. You meet them after matching and before the plan starts. Nothing is locked in until you’ve spoken to the actual person.
